When Walmart asked its customers what they would do if they had back some of the time they spend shopping, they unanimously said they’d spend it on the things that really matter to them – like spending time with their family and friends. Walmart’s new campaign beautifully illustrates just that. It shows how despite our differences, Walmart+ enables us to do more of what matters most to all of us – spending time with loved ones.

To announce the new Microsoft Surface Duo, now available for purchase, Microsoft has launched a campaign to introduce a brand new category of mobile device and highlight its innovative features: the dual flip screen with its innovative 360° hinge, the ability to easily switch from one screen to two, and the revolutionary gaming and social experiences that harness the power of Microsoft and Android together.
The campaign, by Blk Ops, hones in on the “magic” of the product and its ability to transform how we work, play, and communicate. The spots feature several of the best cardistry performers in the world moving and manipulating the Duo to demonstrate its flexibility and versatility. The performances take viewers through all of the different postures of the device and offer a first-hand experience of the software to highlight the seamless flow between form and function.
Louis Leterrier was tapped to direct the spot. Renowned for his work on ‘Now You See Me,’ Leterrier has experience working with cardistry performers and bringing magical moments to screens big and small.
“The duo is magical. To work seamlessly between two screens, almost every scenario you can think of and have the full gamut of both Microsoft and Android apps at your fingertips….it deserved a magical spot,” said Kathleen Hall, Chief Brand Officer, Microsoft.
“Often, when you look at technology and what it can do, it’s hard to tell what’s real and what’s magic… but every once in a while, it’s both. That’s Microsoft Surface Duo. And that’s the truth we wanted to bring to life in our campaign,” said Andrew Panay, Founder and CEO, Blk Ops.
