Why are you a Graphic Designer?
I have a great interest in the artistic/craft area & love to do hilarious photo editings from my school time & showed to my school buddies that’s how the love for drawing and software designs developed.
Did you attend school for fine art or design? Yes, I’m a graduate from Arena Animation, New Delhi.

You also do a lot of UI/UX design. How did you start on this?
Few years working in graphic design, I decided to push my skills further & pursue a career in UI as well. Currently, I’m more focused on brand identity & communication design.

What kind of research practice do you follow on your brand identity/communication design?
This needs to follow different parameters of the process like Research, brainstorming, creating mood boards then Brand language with the typo, colors, brand elements, etc. I make sure that every piece of content strictly adheres to their brand identity and brand guidelines.

Were there any particular role models for you when you grew up?
I didn’t have specific role models but I loved to watch cartoons & MAD Art & Craft by Rob which used to telecast on pogo.

Who was the most influential personality in your career in graphic design?
I’ve had many people from different fields. However, I always give credit to Gaurav & Garima (CoFounder of Viralcurry Digital Media Agency) who mentored me throughout the Beginning of my career as an amateur designer and helped me a lot to understand the fundamentals.

When did you start freelancing?
I’ve always freelance along with my job, Since the 2nd year of college.

Alicia Souza, I really liked her consistent illustration artwork & Mamta Singh really amused with her hand-drawn wall murals.

What advice do you have for aspiring creative professionals?
Would you advise them to take on graphic design as a career option? Definitely, from past years scope & opportunities for designers really increased with compensation. Graphic design is just as practical as any other career choice if you have the right mindset and work ethic.

Do you think Clients are opening up to keeping aside a decent respectable budget for design work? Do you think clients are understanding that they need to invest in Design as a communication tool and also to cut the clutter, and that good design comes at a price?

CEZ Romania: The first DJ to mix from a wind turbine at 100 meters high

For the first time in the world, the sound of electronic music was heard from the top of a wind turbine. Alex Parker, a young Romanian DJ, mixed from a height of 100 meters on a turbine from Europe’s largest onshore wind park. The event took place at CEZ Wind Farm in Romania and marks both the collaboration with the Neversea Festival and the start of a „green” partnership between the festival and CEZ Group, one of the biggest players on the Romanian energy market.

Alex Parker is the DJ who accepted the challenge and mixed over 5 hours in an unique place. Fearless, enthusiastic and motivated by the desire to become the first DJ in the world to lead music to the height of a wind farm, Alex has managed to unite green energy with music. The unique atmosphere was also supported by the technical teams of both CEZ Wind Park and Neversea festival, which ensured the safe performance of the “concert”, up in the „sky”.
