Traditionally, Iftar is the meal with which Muslims end their daily Ramadan fast as a family. Today, the tradition sees fewer families breaking the fast together. Betty Crocker has been a resource for nearly a century helping home cooks to make meals special to bring families together. Looking help preserve the tradition of families coming together for Iftar, they created an experience that highlights family connection.

The Iftar of Lights is a unique tablecloth that lights up only when every family member is at the table. Created by VMLY&R, the tablecloths feature designs screen-printed with special conductive ink, built-in lights, and a battery powered circuit. The design lights up only when all plates are placed on the table. One missing plate, the circuit remains incomplete.

Fizy: The Musical Font

fizy is Turkey’s biggest music app with 22 Million users. The identity of such a rich platform consisting of tons of genres of music couldn’t be a static one. A new design approach that would convey the language of music was needed.

We created a Musical Font by using the Variable Fonts technology in a disruptive way. First, a new fizy base font is designed. 6 different axes are constructed within one font. Then, the font’s typographic features are connected to different frequency levels of sound.

Connect Four is a table game where players take turns to drop their colored disc into a seven-column, six-row vertically suspended grid. The objective of the game is to be the first to form a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line of four of one’s own discs.This graphic campaign dramatizes the objective of the game, utilizing images from epical famous encounters, instead of the pieces: a representation of the meteorite that lead to the extinction of dinosaurs, the collision between the famous Titanic ship with the iceberg that lead to its sinking and the abduction of a vehicle by an UFO.
