Pop-Up Ads Tell a Distressing Story of Love and Consumption in W+K’s New Music Video

Marketing for a New Age: Being Digital vs. Doing Digital
Posted in: UncategorizedTo thrive in an increasingly technology-dominated world, marketing organizations need to adopt a unique set of traits that are helping the world’s top digital companies dominate the competitiontraits we call their “Digital DNA.” These traits should be at the heart of everything an organization does.
Yet a recent study by Facebook and Deloitte found that most marketing organizations surveyed are still at the stage of “doing digital” rather than “being digital”using digital technologies to make incremental improvements to the status quo, but not yet weaving digital into their DNA. This finding is consistent regardless of company size, industry or geography.
Through ongoing research and surveys over the last three years, Deloitte identified 23 DNA traits that characterize a digitally mature organization. To see how marketing organizations around the world are progressing on their journey, Facebook and Deloitte conducted this latest follow-up study, including a survey of 383 marketing executives and managers across a wide range of industries and geographies, along with in-depth interviews of top marketing executives.
Facebook to Stream Live Champions League Soccer Deal With Fox
Posted in: UncategorizedFacebook will stream more than a dozen matches from European soccer’s top tournament, the highest-profile event to join the small but growing lineup of live sports programming.
Starting in September, the social network will show live Champions League matches in the U.S. through a partnership with Fox Sports. The deal with the sports division of 21st Century Fox Inc. includes double-headers during the group stage, four Round of 16 games and four quarterfinal matches.
Neither company would disclose the financial terms of their agreement. The games are part of the Facebook’s strategy to entice advertisers to spend more money at a higher rate. It hasn’t sold advertising against the Champions League matches, but it could start by the time they begin.

Every Idul fitri season, Indonesians ask each other for forgiveness to turn life anew. But when it comes to seeking forgiveness from Mom, things usually get a bit more complicated. That’s where social media comes in: Pantene & Downy’s ambassadors asked “What would you ask forgiveness of from Mom this Idul Fitri?”
The 17 best social media posts were selected and the new lyrics of Kasih Ibu (A Mother’s Love), an Indonesia childhood favourite, was pieced together from the posts. The 17 winners underwent training as part of a choir, and in tandem with Pantene’s brand ambassador, Anggun and Downy’s ambassador, Andien, delivered a heartwarming tribute in song to their mothers.
