Nestle is adding some water to Salesforce’s cloud. The food and beverage company has opened a digital lab inside the CRM giant’s Manhattan office to serve its Nestle Waters North America division.
The so-called consumer engagement center is aimed at improving personalized consumer digital communications for brands such as Pure Life, Poland Spring, Perrier and S. Pellegrino. The Nestle deal represents the first time Salesforce has hosted a client permanently on-site, according to Salesforce. The center will include a mix of Nestle and Salesforce employees.
“Using the power of Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Nestle Waters North America will leverage its new digital center to understand thousands of brand and topical conversations per month,” the companies said in a joint statement. “Doing so will allow the company to participate in social conversations with its communities and provide branded content most relevant to its consumers, leading to deeper, more lasting relationships.”
For all the interest marketers have in the Olympics, evidence from YouTube suggests people are a lot more interested in the athletes themselves or even parodies of the games than they are in Olympic-themed ads.
Yet a new study from video-technology firm Zefr also indicates that views of brand ads at least on YouTube stem largely from posts by fans, not brands. It also shows that official sponsors don’t have much edge on other advertisers when it comes to interest in their Olympic-themed videos.
Only one of the top five brands in YouTube views of Olympic-related content is an official sponsor Visa according to Zefr. The others are apparel brands Puma, Adidas, Under Armour, and Nike.
Of the 50,000 or so people who work at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the U.S., 450 are partners at the business consulting behemoth. Juan-carlos Morales, however, is now the first creative executive in the company’s history to make partner.
PwC’s chief creative officer might also be the first graffiti artist to do so, too.
His promotion comes at a time when many consultancies are boosting their agency service businesses by bringing in creatives from the agency world. The 39-year-old Mr. Morales, who says he attended the school of “hard knocks,” tapped into his creative side when he was in the seventh grade, spray painting walls as a form of artistic expression.
