Wooden Deep Cave Installation Made with Planks
Posted in: UncategorizedPour l’édition annuelle du festival Sculpture by the Sea qui s’est déroulé au Danemark, à Aarhus, le studio Atelier 37.2 a imaginé l’installation « New Horizon ». Best Practices: How to Boost Sales With Integrated Content
Posted in: UncategorizedJuniper Networks, a networking equipment and software company that competes with larger companies such as Cisco Systems, had a goal of generating $3 million in sales over 12 months with its first globally integrated campaign, “Time to Strike,” which launched last October.
Instead, it generated $4.5 million in the first three months, and now has over $12 million in the sales pipeline.
“The results of the campaign obliterated our target within one quarter. So we have actually raised our expectations,” said Carter Kersh, senior director-Americas field and partner marketing at Juniper Networks.
Your Focus on Benefits Won't Benefit Your Brand
Posted in: UncategorizedMarketing is frustrating because virtually all common-sense ideas are wrong. Take Theodore Levitt’s famous maxim, “People don’t want to buy a quarter-inch drill. They want a quarter-inch hole!”
True perhaps. But that seduces marketing people into promoting better holes when they should be promoting better drills.
Should you promote the benefit of your brand (the hole) or the feature (the drill)? Logic suggests you should promote the benefit, the hole. Because, as Ted Levitt said, “People don’t want a quarter-inch drill. They want a quarter-inch hole.”
This Creative Director Is Paid To Write Wedding Speeches And Break-up Letters
Posted in: UncategorizedNathan Phillips is an advertising exec with an unusual side project that involves writing break-up letters, wedding speeches and TED talks.
Mr. Phillips and his wife Victoria Wellman were included in a New York Times story last month about so-called “toast whisperers” — professionals who ghost write for personal milestones. Their company, Oratory Laboratory, offers this service. Here they are in 2012 telling Martha Stewart how to give a good toast:

Toyota's Communications Chief Resigns Following Arrest
Posted in: UncategorizedToyota Motor Corp. said Julie Hamp, its first female managing officer, resigned the position after her arrest last month for allegedly importing drugs into Japan.
Toyota accepted the resignation “after considering the concerns and inconvenience that recent events have caused our stakeholders,” the Toyota City, Japan-based company said on its website. Hamp, 55, had been named the global head of communications for the world’s largest carmaker in April.
Hamp’s resignation comes after President Akio Toyoda called a press conference one day after her June 18 arrest to express confidence that she hadn’t intentionally broken Japanese law. The company had pointed to Hamp’s appointment as evidence that it was diversifying its executive ranks, which is predominantly comprised of Japanese men.

Colorful Cave Pavilion Installation
