An observer, born and brought up at Raigarh in the region of Chhattisgarh India, practices in the field of communication design. Believes in design as a part of life.
Graduated from D J Academy of Design, Coimbatore in 2011. After a short experience of 2 years working in Design industry, currently perusing masters in design at Industrial Design Centre, IIT-Bombay, Mumbai.
Communication Design?As I love it and I see it everywhere.
I am a human being, love to observe, experience and practice design. Focused in communication design, I believe if there is an honest (at times appropriate) communication, life can be understood very easily.
Why are you a Graphic Designer?
Because I love it and I see it everywhere.
Did you attend school for fine art or design?
It took me about 3 amazing years after finishing my higher secondary ‘education’ to find out that what I love to do can actually be the part of my education too. I spent 4 years, trying to practice communication design at D J Academy of Design (DJAD) Coimbatore, in southern India. And currently further exploring at industrial design centre (IDC), IIT Bombay in Mumbai.
You have a distinct style of Design. How long did it take you to develop your style?
I believe that the style is something that develops on its own by the circumstances we work in. I am experiencing in different parts of India that are full of rich and contrasting stories. They all excite me to explore.
Were there any particular role models for you when you grew up?
I feel lucky to be born and brought up in a village yet wondering how the other sides of the world are. I spent my early life in a small village in Chhattisgarh that is not very much polluted with the artificial communication devices that actually make us more individualistic. There is no individual person to name but the kind of life I’ve experienced in there, whether in culture or education or myths, as soon as I appreciated them, they all made sense to me.
I love Brands since ever. Since my childhood I used to check who is the brand ambassador for which brand and it always made me think why. I love Sachin Tendulkar so I love Adidas. I love Adidas so I love Sachin Tendulkar.
Who was the most influential personality on your career in graphic design?
Very little experience as of now but my design mates whom I have argued and fought with, are the people who actually influenced me to run, stop, think and learn!
When did you start freelancing?
I actually started thinking and practicing design in my school days without knowing I could also practice it professionally without hiding from anyone. As most often I got tagged as a jobless kid!
I am not very particular about whether I should work on my own or in corporate or anywhere. In any given environment, I am concerned about the thought and involvement behind a project. As part of a kind of experience, I worked on a few freelance projects after I was done with my graduation from DJAD.
Was there any time when you wanted to quit graphic design?
I never even think of that because I cant see it as a task. Rather it is just something that makes me happy.
Are many advertising agencies hiring graphic designers? Do you work more with agencies or publishers?
As far as I believe that I am not a fake, it doesn’t matter who is the client for me. To get involved in design process, I think, agencies provide more energy in no time and the publishers more depth in project. But at the end it all depends on us how much we really own it.
Do you have clients who give you steady work or do you advertise for new clients often?
Right now I am in no mood to settle down. So I always look forward to discuss on a completely new idea every time.
Any other Indian graphic designers who you admire?
Rather than by any work by designers, I get inspired more by their way of life/Design; Mr. S. M. Shah with his tracing paper.
What advice do you have for aspiring creative professionals? Would you advise them to take on graphic design as a career option?
If I am really in mood to advice someone about the career I would say… if you had to ask someone else to decide then there is no point aspiring for it. Please ask your self first! It is a rapidly growing ‘industry’, but if you are really not interested in this then just the academic and commercial practice will not help you grow.
Do you think Clients are opening up to keeping aside a decent respectable budget for design work? Do you think clients are understanding that they need to invest in Design as a communication tool and also to cut the clutter, and that good design comes at a price?
I rather respect the point of views, which I get from the clients. Unless there is a miscommunication, it can be understood mutually that design is a serious business. And there is a requirement of enough time and space for a serious thought process in design if not misunderstood just as decoration by the client.
I think the understanding is growing up very fast in India.

All the customers of Orange, a French multinational telecommunications corporation which operates in 35 countries, can get two cinema tickets for the price of one on any Wednesday thanks to the Orange Wednesdays campaign. In cooperation with well-known Polish YouTube artist Cyber Marian, who creates funny fake trailer parodies, the agency prepared an online campaign and a series of blockbuster spoofs appeared on Cyber Marian’s YouTube channel.

KLM / Heineken: The Orange Experience 2015

KLM teamed up with fellow Dutch brand Heineken in search of bold adventurers from across the world. In bars around the globe, people ordering a Heineken were asked if they would like an “Orange Experience” to go with it.
For those brave enough to find out more, the people had to be willing to complete several challenges to see if they were worthy of the invitation, such as singing ‘Oranje Boven’, a Dutch folk song in a packed bar.
Those adventurous enough to complete the challenges were rewarded by immediately being flown out to Amsterdam with a friend to join in the epic King’s Day celebrations.
