In case Kraft’s Zesty Guy left you with any doubt that the world’s most boring food items can be eroticized, I present you this ad about having sex on a kitchen counter with an English muffin.
Already a viral hit in its home nation of Canada, “2-Minute Morning Quickie” from Dempster’s bakery is an entertainingly innuendo-filled romp about, essentially, how to make a homemade Egg McMuffin.
“It doesn’t matter if you’re going solo or as a couple, you can enjoy a morning quickie just about anywhere,” the prim but provocative hostess explains. “I like the kitchen for the ample counter space and easy cleanup.”
The ad from Toronto-based agency Cundari has tallied more than a million views, and a similar spot from earlier in the year has amassed an equally impressive 750,000 views. Check out both spots below, and then have fun imagining how awkward both ads would be if the genders were reversed.

Like many large marketers, Coca-Cola has been working to find the right balance between global and local in recent years, particularly when it comes to its marquee sponsorships of the Olympics and World Cup. Ultimately, marketers based in Atlanta must shape creative in such a way that marketers around the world will buy in.
James Sommerville, Coca-Cola’s VP-global design, said there are check-ins with various markets as the program is being developed to avoid a situation where marketers are unenthused by the final product.
“If there’s no collaboration; very little consultation with anybody along the way; it feels too local to the host nation; it’s not something that they can adapt — then there, potentially, would be a temptation for markets to do their own thing,” Mr. Sommerville said. “Over the last two World Cups that temptation has been removed, as we become more experienced … in developing a system that everybody can adopt rather than push against.”

Today we learned, via press release, that agency veteran Natalie Lam has landed at Razorfish New York as Executive Creative Director.
Lam most recently served as ECD at McCann Erickson, which hired her away from OgilvyOne Shanghai; earlier in her career, she earned attention from McCann for working on the Nike+ account at R/GA. She also recently held the jury chair spot at the Art Directors Club.
Patrick Frend, president of Razorfish’s eastern division, writes:
“We are fortunate enough to work with clients who understand the value of creativity and the pivotal role digital plays in business transformation. Natalie brings a global perspective and a passion for her craft that can take these experiences and our clients to the next level.”
Lam led IKEA at Erickson; at her new gig she will handle clients like Mercedes and UNIQLO.
