Talking on the phone while driving is not a new topic to people. Still, 10% of the traffic accidents in Germany were linked to the use of cell-phones while driving. It was time for DVR- Germany’s road safety council- decided to do something about it. But to really change people’s behaviors we had to make them learn by experience: experience an accident themselves live on radio. So we placed our ad as part of a regular radio program – not in the commercial break. A guy calls the presenter while driving his car. Suddenly the audience hears the car crash life on air – and experiences the danger of phoning while driving when they least expect it.
