Maurice Levy, CEO of Publicis Group(e), is quoted in AdWeek today saying, the ad industry will have a “difficult finish” in 2008. No kidding, thanks Maury.

Publicis expects a 1.5 percent decline in revenue this year over last year, says AdWeek. Still, the profit margin is 16.5 percent. So it’s seemingly not all that bad for Publicis &#151 but what about its kiddies? We’ll get back to you on that.

Oh, and the headline of the piece, “Publicis Sees Rough Times Ahead for Ad Biz”. Yeah, it captures the crux of the story, but come on. How about reporting something we don’t already know? Good Lord, it’s only Tuesday.
