Virgin Media guns for iTunes as ISPs enter the musical fray

LONDON – iTunes be warned. ISPs are gunning for the competition as Virgin Media and Universal Music announced plans today to launch a subscription-based unlimited music download service which will allow users to both stream and download as many tracks and albums as they want for the price of ‘a couple of albums a month’.
