Spread that infectious sci-fi book marketing
Posted in: Uncategorized Up-and-coming novelist Jeff Somers is, by his own admission, a lazy drunk. But he still managed to cobble together an engaging Web site for his newest book, The Digital Plague. It’s both a promotional tool and an excuse to offer tertiary exposition, as seen through the frantic message-board postings of people who’ve caught whatever disease is rampaging through the book. Plague’s prequel, The Electric Church, had a similarly elaborate Web page. Check the sites out, and buy the books, if only to keep Jeff in booze money. We’ve all seen what happens when writers get sober.
