The Guiness Book of World Records (GBoWR) 2009 edition is coming out soon, but we’ll save you the trouble of actually reading it by sharing what we feel are the most pertinent highlights. Turns out, it was a good year for celebrities, who won a bunch of records that are as arbitrary as most baseball stats.

Leading off were Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who are individually awarded with the “Most Powerful Actor/Actress” spots, which were previously held by Tom Cruise, and…Angelina Jolie.

Britney Spears made the cut as well; and no, it wasn’t for “most publicly displayed vagina” or anything like that. However, it was for the “Most Searched Person on the Internet in 2007.” Two things here &#151 isn’t this book for 2009? And, can we take an educated guess that people are searching for pictures…of her vagina? Way to go, Brit Brit.
