Mobile phone giants unite to combat Apple’s dominance in the apps market

LONDON – Orange, Deutsche Telekom and Vodafone are just three of the 24 leading operators that have formed an alliance to build a global open industry platform to deliver apps to all mobile phones, in a bid to combat Apple’s dominance in the market.
