Lifetime Snags ‘Project Runway’

NEW YORK (AdAge.com) — Lifetime has acquired the exclusive rights to Bravo's "Project Runway" beginning with the reality show's sixth season in November 2008. But with the deal comes controversy. Bravo's parent company, NBC Universal, reportedly had an opportunity to provide a competitive bid to Lifetime's offer and didn't. The company filed a lawsuit against Weinstein Co., the show's owners, in the New York State Supreme Court to prevent the series from switching hands.
