From Shangri-La Hotels to Starbucks, Mooncakes Are Big Business in Asia


HONG KONG (AdAgeChina.com) — It's mooncake season in Asia, and that's big business for retailers, bakeries and hotel chains such as the Shangri-La that churn out the holiday pastries to celebrate the fall harvest, reaping tens of millions of dollars in revenue. Western marketers such as Starbucks and Haagen-Dazs are also starting to sell mooncakes.
