Edelman Hires BBC Vet in Bid to Help Marketers Become Media Outlets

NEW YORK (AdAge.com) — Edelman today named longtime BBC veteran Richard Smabrook, its first-ever chief content officer. Mr. Sambrook, who has been the BBC's director of global news and a member of the BBC's Management Board for the last ten years, will assist agency clients in producing written, video and audio content that will allow them to tell their own stories to consumers.
