You have to feel bad for the kid in this Nail Communications spot for Rhode Island’s CollegeBoundfund. Not the girl who spells “peregrination” correctly, but the boy in his jimmies twirling around with the box on his head, much to the wordless dismay of his father, who’s already worried about paying for college. Can Dad spell “peregrination”? Has Dad done anything all day except watch TV and cast disapproving looks at his son? The kid’s way too young to have to spell anything. Let the boy grow and wonder! Sorry, I’m still smarting because I didn’t get any college scholarships myself. Maybe I shouldn’t have shown up for class with a box on my head.
