Brit Awards show grabs 600,000 more viewers than 2009’s effort

LONDON – Just over a fifth of the peaktime TV audience went poptastic last night as 5.8 million tuned in for ITV1’s 8pm-10pm coverage of ‘The Brit Awards’, according to unofficial overnight figures.
