Ad placements you’d love to take back

We wonder if some of these unintentionally comic and/or horrifying ad placement gaffes were in fact done on purpose. Well, maybe not the muddy underpants one—you can’t really plan humor like that (call it a “happy accident”). But we can see a cigarette company putting a billboard under a cancer treatment ad just for the audacity of it. You can’t do much about online ads like the Botox one, as contextual goofs will ensnare even the best news sites. But the “aaaaaahhhh” ad placed underneath the falling fisherman story seems to have appeared in print and should have been caught by an editor. At least it wasn’t an ad for plummeting housing prices.
