After 36 years, Peru finally qualified to a World Cup. There was just one problem: this tournament took place in Russia, a more expensive country. And with thousands of Peruvian fans doing the impossible to get there, we knew we had to do something for them; so we used our well-known low prices to plan a great idea. 

We located the 3 main supermarkets in the cities where Peru was going to play – Saransk, Yekaterinburg, and Sochi – and made a unique agreement with them: to lower their prices, so they could match the ones in Peru. By doing this; Peruvian fans saved plenty of money, and all they had to do was to show their ID.

Fritos: Carry The Load

Fritos, the flagship brand of PepsiCo’s Frito-Lay division, is teaming up with Carry The Load, a non-profit dedicated to providing active, meaningful ways to honor and celebrate the sacrifices made by our nation’s heroes, to produce nearly 22 million specially marked bags to honor past and present heroes. The number of bags is symbolic in that it represents the total members who have served in the American military throughout history (including active-duty). To further its commitment, the brand will also donate $100,000 to Carry The Load to support its ongoing efforts to provide healing services via non-profit partners for the mind, body and soul of our warriors.

With the PSD2 revisions under way and the SCA mandates about to go live, biometric authentication is becoming a hot topic in the European society.

But even though Mastercard has finished developing the tools necessary to comply with the new payment industry standard – ID Check being the most important one – the supporting consumer-facing communication frameworks to educate & carry the innovation message are yet to be developed.
How can we send a clear and impactful message to consumers about the new biometric safety & security tools while it’s still hot news?

Mastercard, as innovative technology company, raised quick awareness about biometrics by creating?a series of portraits using a unique technique – ?ngerprints.
Highlighting the bene?ts of face recognition and ?ngerprints payments through a unique art form of precision, we positioned Mastercard as a technological leader in the payments industry.

By connecting the two most sophisticated payment methods – the ?ngerprint and the face recognition – Mastercard o?ers its customers the safest way to pay.
This project explained to people that they should not mistrust the new technologies, through a unique exhibition, featuring portraits made only with ?ngerprints.

We invited a renowned artist (Jan Petrov) to paint portraits using only ?ngerprints and exhibit them at the Authentication & Biometry press conference. The audience witnessed how the artist crafted such a portrait, live. We auction the portraits, this way everyone could buy the exhibited artworks with face recognition payment.
