Ultimate Ears Speakers: #TestTheSound

Promo, Online, Mobile
Ultimate Ears

The new brand of speakers is entering the market when one giant monopolist dominates and distribution opportunities are critically limited. When introducing the Ultimate Ears brand to the market, we needed extraordinary creative idea to break into the lives of consumers. The #TestTheSound idea allowed us to do this. We have found ten bright and extreme opinion leaders: a roofer, a rider, a tattoo master, a wakeboarder, a b-boy, a paintball player, a graffiti writer, a football freestyler, a drifter, and a mom blogger (whose life in some moments is as extreme as it can be). The opinion leaders tested Ultimate Ears in the most natural for them but the most surprising for ordinary consumers conditions. They drowned them, ran them down with a sports car, dropped them down from a height of dozens of meters, covered them with paint, kicked them, hit them against the walls, and had them destroyed by a one-year-old baby. We did all this to check whether the speaker would stand the test. And we dumbfounded the spectators with the result.

JAY-Z: The Story of O.J.

‘The Story of O.J.’ is the animated music video for JAY-Z’s original track from his highly-anticipated visual album, 4:44 (2017). The film is altogether innovative in craft, challenging and gripping in subject matter, and widely celebrated in its genre, driven by JAY-Z’s original vision and executed by a blend of animation techniques with reference to historical cartoon imagery.

BBC: World Cup

Throughout history, societies have recorded moments of importance in rich tapestries. And there’s not much more important than the FIFA World Cup. So we created a tapestry of our own – a 7 metre long piece of art commemorating the history of the world’s favourite tournament. But we didn’t stop there. We also made a film that brought that tapestry to life.

The film is made up of over 600 unique frames, each designed, illustrated and the painstakingly embroidered. The feat, never before attempted at this scale, required the employment of nearly every embroidery machine in London, all working 23 hours a day for a period of three weeks. The spot features a special arrangement of Russian folk song Oche Chernye recorded at Abbey Road with an iconic performance from Sir John Tomlinson. It aired at half-time of the FA Cup final. And the tapestry was hung in the National Football Museum in Manchester.
