Sanofi Genzyme: Atopic Dermatitis Day

Film
Sanofi Genzyme;Regeneron

Atopic dermatitis can take everything from patients. It can rob them of opportunities, moments and feelings. It steals days. Days and days and days of their lives.

To launch the first ever Atopic Dermatitis Day we created a film which empathised with patients, whilst telling them that this is one day that can’t be taken from them.

We hear a woman telling the story of an unforgettable girls holiday from the 90’s, the off the cuff moments that helped forge a lifetime friendship. We reveal that rather than recollecting her own memories, it’s yet another time that Atopic Dermatitis has taken from her.

To raise further awareness for those living with the disease, the campaign will be supported by a donation-based mechanism that will see 1 US Dollar donated to International Alliance of Dermatology Patient Organisation for every social media share.

'Facebook is a toilet': Watch John Oliver's hilariously harsh PSA for developing nations

On Sunday’s edition of HBO’s “Last Week Tonight,” John Oliver devoted his signature extended rant to Facebook’s international expansionand, more specifically, some of the many ways the social network has screwed up on the path to global domination.

In the nearly 20-minute segment (which, as always, features strong language, so wear headphones if you’re watching this at work), Oliver says that “for years, Facebook’s founder Mark Zuckerberg pushed his utopian idea that all connections are good connections with feel-good ads,” and then shares clips from those ads. “Unfortunately, thinking things through has never really been Facebook’s strong point,” he continues, before drilling down on what he calls the company’s “hugely consequential mistakes” in foreign countries.

“For the worst distillation of what Facebook can do to a country,” he says, “just look at Myanmar.” Oliver details the country’s “long history of religious and ethic tensions” and the military’s “ethnic cleansing” of the Rohingya, which has caused an estimated 725,000 of them to flee to Bangladesh and a “conservative” death toll of 10,000. “By all accounts,” Oliver statesciting various news reports and a U.N. study”Facebook absolutely did inflame preexisting tensions there” and was woefully ill-prepared to deal with the rise of hate speech on its platform Myanmar.

Alwaleed Philanthropies: Hero Next To Hero

In Saudi, woman empowerment means finally taking the right steps into recognizing women roles and acknowledge their rights. And the only way to bring a culture that is saturated with male dominance to rally behind the movement is to extract means of empowerment from the culture itself, and that is what HNH have delivered to the Saudi culture and the world.

To achieve support and sustenance, the case of the Saudi woman empowerment must be tackled with the utmost sensitivity to the cultural boundaries of the countries, whilst challenging stereotypes and provoking minds.
We launched a short film that shows little steps a Saudi female takes over the years towards her success and empowerment and her role building the society while all the way being supported by her father. We chose to display the male support as part of the empowerment because it is a reflection of the truth, the male support or lack of it in Saudi could determine the path a female takes, given they are granted control and guardianship, therefore we wanted to inspire the saudi community and the world by communicating a message, “ Together we move forward.”
