Bundesliga: Transfer a Fan
Posted in: Uncategorized
The Bundesliga is on winter break and football is on hold. At this time of the year the winter transfer window is open. Football players all over the world change clubs and go where the money goes. But what happens if two talent agents make die-hard Bundesliga fans an indecent proposal? We have put three of them to the Loyalty Test.
Can money buy their loyalty? Is €200K? Or even a car? Or are true fans simply not for sale?
The outcome of this rather experiment proves that football is more than just a sport, it’s a way of life.

Posted in: UncategorizedTrump Generously Launches Guerrilla Marketing Campaign for Michael Wolff's 'Fire and Fury' Book
Posted in: UncategorizedIf you want a quick informed opinion on that move, here: “Yes, The Trump Cease & Desist Letter Over The Bannon Book Is Stupid” (subhead: “Just like every other legal document prepared by this administration”), per the Above the Law legal blog. As the site’s Executive Editor Elie Mystal writes,
Reporting on the Trump administration is like a game of Clue. Today, it’s Charles J. Harder with the cease and desist over the Michael Wolff book that includes tell-alls from Steve Bannon. Tomorrow, it could be Don McGahn filing a lawsuit against snow for “false imprisonment” of the President in D.C. The details of each successive eruption of legal fallacy hardly even matter. The man employs hundreds of lawyers and none of them seem to be able to make a cogent legal argument.
Trump filings are just like this blizzard. It’s a flurry of white stuff that stings and freezes, but if you try to really wrestle with any individual piece, it just kinds of melts away, like there was nothing there to begin with.

This Irish Anti-Smoking Ad Is So Good, It’s Now Running in New York

New York Times Spotlights Sexual Harassment in Golden Globes 'Truth' Ad
Posted in: UncategorizedThe New York Times helped to topple the priapic pillars that have undermined women and others in tech, media and most prominently, entertainment with its groundbreaking reporting in 2017. Fueled by that momentum, the brand is making yet another appearance on a big Hollywood stage with a Golden Globes ad addressing how women’s voices are coming to the fore. It’s the latest iteration of the paper’s “The Truth Is Hard” campaign, created out of Droga5 New York, which broke during the Academy Awards last year.
Marking the brand’s first appearance on the Oscars, the campaign sought to capitalize on the flurry of conversation around truth and facts in the news to assert the quality of The New York Times’ original reporting. That reporting–including its high-profile coverage of Harvey Weinstein from Jodi Kantor and Megan Twohey–has gone on to set the stage for the latest ad, sure to resonate powerfully as it plays on the first big night of Hollywood’s awards season.
“We thought that using language that has been used to silence women in the past and turning it on its head was a simple way to show the clear distinction between the way the world was merely a year ago and the way it is now,” says Droga5 Associate Creative Director Julie Matheny.
Twitter Writer's Block? Trump Brands Bannon 'Sloppy Steve' But Has Nothing for Michael Wolff (Sad!)
Posted in: UncategorizedTweeter-in-Chief Donald Trump also, of course, fancies himself the Brander-in-Chief. He’s devoted much time and energy to deploying his Twitter account to reinforce his existing labels for his enemies (e.g., “Crooked Hillary”) while also launching new ones (e.g., “Little Rocket Man” for Kim Jong-un).
This week he realized he has two new foes: Michael Wolff, author of the just-published book “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House,” and former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon, who served as a major source for Wolff’s book (background here). Oddly, it took Trump until Thursday night to take to Twitter to debut a derisive nickname for Bannon, “Sloppy Steve,” even though Bannon is legendarily, well, sloppy. (Rep. Pete King called Bannon a “disheveled drunk” in December during an MSNBC appearance.) And though, in the same tweet, he slammed “Fire and Fury” as a “phony book” and said it’s “full of lies, misrepresenations and sources that don’t exist,” Trump not only didn’t nickname Wolff, he failed to even name the poor guy:
Did Trump forget Wolff’s name? (One of the themes of “Fire and Fury” is that the president is forgetful in a way that suggests dementia.) Or did he purposely avoid name-checking Wolff to buy himself more time to come up with a nasty nickname for the bald, sourpuss author?
