Get a bucketful of free travel cards. And a bucket, too.

In Finland they have this thing called “free buckets.” Agency 358 decided to hand out branded ones to advertise the travel card trial offer for Helsinki Region Transport. Apparently the lines lasted for hours, kind of like getting a new iPhone. Six thousand people picked up a bucket and became a walking ad for HSL. The travel card gained 11,000 new users which is almost 900,000 Euro is added sales. Not bad at all for a city of 600,000.

Animal Music Opens Its Doors in the West Coast

Miami-based music production company, Animal Music, has expanded its presence with a new studio in Los Angeles, California. The independent shop, originally launched in 1986 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and in 2000 placed their bets in the U.S market by opening an office in Miami, Florida. This year they opened their third studio in El Camp, a community of creative companies all involved in the advertising/marketing world in El Segundo, CA.
The studio sought an opportunity on the left coast, where a growing number of multicultural clients were looking for musical collaborators to come on board projects with big advertisers. Seeing the positive
prospects, they decided to place their bets and invest in this new market by relocating one of their Creative Producers, Agustin Mas, to Los Angeles to oversee the coordination and production of all the
west coast projects from start to finish. Agustin kicked off his career as an intern with Animal Music in 2012 and quickly rose the ranks to Head Audio Engineer/Composer in Miami.
“Leading the expansion of Animal Music to California has been a wonderful challenge,” said Agustin Mas, Creative Producer of Animal Music. “We have always understood how important it is to generate creative
musical ideas and some of the best ideas have come from proactive collaborations that result in musically driven campaigns. Understanding the art of storytelling through music is what sets us apart,
and so far the West Coast seems to agree.”
For a few years now, Animal Music has built up a network of talent around the world, including the Los Angeles area. With all the business opportunities in the West Coast, it seemed like a natural next step to
shift gears a bit and allocate resources to where new clients were looking for musical creative partners. “Everyone knows that collaboration is key when it comes to any musical endeavor, and in our case it’s
no different,” said Alberto Farinas, Executive Producer of Animal Music. “Being present in three different time zones at the same time (Buenos Aires, Miami, and Los Angeles) while making sure to keep an
open line of communication between the three studios, has allowed us to create an ongoing ensemble, by leveraging our extended network of talent and allowing us to keep up to the beat of our clients.”
Most recently, Animal Music worked for Lexus RPM, creating an online series with Latin-Pop artist Raquel Sofia. Other projects include work for Toyota with Saatchi & Saatchi LA, Google Play and E!
with BBH LA, Honda with Orci, Comcast Xfinity with Grupo Gallegos, and Inifiti with Designory, among others.
For those in L.A. the studio’s having a welcome party on February 28th starting at 7 at the Brig on Abbot Kinney

Apple "My Block On The Street" (2017) 1:32 (Brazil)

Apple is restructuring and shifts focus from translating big global ideas across the world and is instead going local, giving regions the power to come up their own work. This spot from Lew’LaraTBWA, Sao Paulo is one such example As visually flashy as it is, if we’re being honest it’s just another shot on iPhone campaign. As neat as the stop motion is, it’s also just another Carnival themed spot, which is pretty much the first place any agency would go when it came to selling something in Brazil at this time of the year. The song is pretty neat, though. It’s “Eu Quero … Botar Meu Bloco na Rua” by the band BaianaSystem. You can see they have a cameo in the spot.
So it’s definitely a more energetic version of the usually calm Apple we all know. But if you strip away the flashy costumes and samba music, it’s still more of the same.
