Powerade's Fun 'Workout Billboards' Will Really Make You Sweat

Billboards don’t usually ask a lot of you, beyond a cursory glance. But these Powerade boards from Ogilvy Berlin put you right to work.

They’re more like exercise installations than billboards. One of them features a scrolling climbing wall; another invites you to punch it as hard as you can. And all of them will make you work up a thirst that Powerade can then quench.

Wild Animals in Los Angeles

Le photographe animalier Steve Winter, travaillant pour National Geographic, s’est rendu dans le parc naturel de Griffith à Los Angeles où certaines zones sont restées à l’état sauvage. De nuit il n’est donc pas rare de pouvoir y croiser des animaux sauvages. Certaines de ces bêtes semblent surprises par l’objectif du photographe, d’autres continuent leur chemin, offrant ainsi des clichés inattendus.

Why Excluding Marketers from the Ad-Tech Boom Is a Failed Strategy


I am shaking with fury as I write this — reeling from three incidents that individually might have gone unnoticed, but as a group tumbled into my consciousness, leaving me wanting to yell at the top of my lungs, “I’m mad as hell and I am not going to take it anymore,” in a pathetic mimic of that famous scene from the 1976 movie “Network.”

I was jolted to face the disturbing reality that because ad tech was created in a tech/VC echo chamber, largely excluding marketing practitioners, it is suffering from an overemphasis on the “product” side to the detriment of the human element of marketing. Through these individual experiences, it became painfully obvious to me that the unnavigable ad-tech sprawl is consuming more and more time and resources, yet we are accomplishing less and less.

The first incident started innocuously enough when I was working with an advertiser on a content marketing campaign. The client was working with a very large content venture to develop custom content using this platform’s well-developed skill at creating funny, viral list content. Unfortunately, that approach just didn’t translate well to do the heavy lifting required of great marketing, where effective brand messaging is key. The surprise creative epic fail of this content platform wasted a lot of time all around. Unhappily, it reminded me how far technologists still have to go in applying predictable technical approaches to the delicate and most unpredictable art of marketing.

Le projet que s’est lancé le photographe Kevin Bauman est considérable. En effet, dans une série intitulée « 100 Abandoned Houses » il a choisi de photographier cent maisons abandonnées au coeur de la ville de Détroit. La série est visible dans son ensemble au sein d’un site qui lui est spécialement dédié. Les clichés offrent un caractère fantomatique à la ville de Détroit qui compte plus de douze milles maisons de ce type selon le photographe.

Weight Watchers Founder Jean Nidetch Passes Away at 91


While millions around the world struggle with weight issues, America has lost an icon in healthy life style and dieting.

Jean Nidetch, whose fight with her obesity problem led her to found Weight Watchers, died on Wednesday at her Fort Lauderdale home. She was 91 years old.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Mrs. Nidetch had struggled with her weight throughout her early life. She tried countless “fad diets” with no success. The 5’7″ housewife reached more than 200 pounds by the time she was 38 years old. That was when she finally went to an obesity clinic sponsored by New York City in 1961 to embark on her long weight-loss journey.

For Italy Expo 2015 in Milan is the biggest event of the century with 20 million visitors expected and a new-built area of 1 mio. square meters. But one month before the grand opening, works are in a terrible delay and the reasons are tipically italian: corruption and scandals.

The last chance to make it? The workmen in the building yards: they doubled their shifts and gave up on paid overtime. Our brand is Ceres, a strong beer for tough people with a claim that states: “The town needs heroes.” Who’s more heroic than them? Who deserves a beer, if not them? We meet them in the building yards and take some pictures.

On april 1st, we issue a 4 page press campaign saying: “They have just one month to finish the work. And it’s not an april’s fools’ joke. Let’s bring these guys a beer”. The ad immediately booms on social network and national media becoming a twitter top trend. We launch an event on facebook: at the and of the day shift, we’re going to bring some beers to the workmen.

And we invite people to come with us. Over one thousand people join the event. At 5pm, 800 tired and thirsty workmen get out of the yards and find a surprise. Chilled beer and slices of pizza for free. And the people who serve them are not hostess and stewards dozens of common citizens who decided to follow our call.

Surreal Pencil Drawings of Lips

Basé en Suisse, l’illustrateur Christo Dagorov est l’auteur d’une série d’illustrations surréalistes qui se concentrent sur les lèvres. Au crayon noir, il transforme la texture des lèvres en de petits paysages qui se nichent entre les deux lèvres. La pulpe et la surface de la bouche deviennent une prison, une forêt, un labyrinthe ou des corps nus entassés.
