Jean Chatzky and Time for Kids, a division of Time Inc., have introduced a magazine intended to teach financial literacy to fourth, fifth and sixth graders.

One of the things Saturday Night Live does best is skewer advertising tropes, so it’s no surprise that in last night’s pre-Super Bowl episode, the show did just that. With a parody Totino’s ad, no less. 

In the spot, Vanessa Bayer gamely plays a bored housewife who doesn’t know what to do with herself after she’s served her hubby (host J.K. Simmons) and his pals their snacks for the Big Game. Enter Totino’s Super Bowl Activity Kit for Women.  

The skit makes fun of ads that play up the role of a doting wife for the Big Game. It helps, too, that the activity pack looks like something Hasbro would make—with a top, a set of jacks and other kid’s toys inside.

Vazamentos online de trailes, filmes e afins já se tornaram tão frequentes, que nem surpreendem mais. Um dos mais recentes aconteceu na última quinta-feira, quando a HBO realizou uma exibição especial dos dois últimos episódios da 4ª temporada de Game of Thrones em cinemas IMAX e, ao final, mostrou em primeira mão o trailer completo da 5ª temporada. É claro que alguém estava lá com um celular à mão e produziu uma versão cam, que logo foi compartilhada no YouTube.

Particularmente, acredito que o mundo está dividido entre as pessoas que não aguentam a curiosidade e se rendem às versões cam e aqueles que preferem se segurar um pouco mais para assistir trailers e filmes com qualidade melhor. Se você faz parte deste segundo grupo e ainda não teve a oportunidade de ver o que vem por aí na série de George R.R. Martin, agora é a hora.

Após o vazamento, a HBO resolveu por bem (ou teria sido por mal?) divulgar o trailer oficial da 5ª temporada em HD.

Sem estragar a surpresa, dê o play e prepare-se, porque o inverno está chegando…

Discover, which is making its first Super Bowl appearance in almost 30 years, revealed its spot ahead of kick off today. The ad, called “Surprise,” will air during the second quarter of the game.

The credit card company is repurposing an earlier ad from the “We’d Treat You Like You’d Treat You” campaign, which features a man who hates surprises and is startled by a surprise birthday party. This time around, it’s a goat. He screams, the goat screams, they all scream. The company began teasing the ad on Buzzfeed and YouTube late last week with videos of humans yelling like goats.

“We wanted to keep everything that was working with the campaign, but we wanted to add a little surprise,” said Julie Loeger, SVP-marketing at Discover. “It’s the Super Bowl, so we have to be somewhat entertaining and humorous.”
