Na Campus Party, casemods evidenciam a criatividade dos campuseiros

Para quem visita a Campus Party Brasil, uma das coisas que inevitavelmente atrai a atenção do público é a vasta coleção de casemods, cada um deles com uma temática diferente. Algumas das CPUs são montadas do zero, caso do Minion criado pelos campuseiros Rafael Da Hora e Luan Maia. A dupla iniciou os trabalhos em dezembro, o que incluiu diversos testes. Ainda assim, a máquina precisou ser adaptada logo no primeiro dia do evento.

“Nosso trabalho com casemods não é voltado para a modificação de CPUs, mas montá-las pensando além do visual. O foco maior está na dinâmica do computador, na melhor forma de acomodar as peças internamente e contar com uma boa ventilação”, explica Rafael.

Para muitos campuseiros, a referência em se tratando de casemods é Alexandre Ferreira de Souza, que este ano trouxe sua War Machine – uma releitura do Homem de Ferro. “Trabalhei com tecnologia a vida inteira e sempre me incomodou a forma como os cabos eram organizados dentro do computador”, conta. “Até o dia que descobri que outras pessoas pensavam o mesmo que eu e estavam montando suas próprias CPUs”.

Em 2001, Alexandre montou seu primeiro casemod, uma cabeça de dragão, apresentado na primeira edição da CPBR em 2008. Desde então, ele tem criado um modelo especial para cada ano do evento. O mais legal, entretanto, foi que há três anos o casemoder resolveu compartilhar seu conhecimento nas chamadas Oficinas de Chão.

“Todo dia, de madrugada, eu recebo as pessoas interessadas em robótica e ensino o que eu sei sobre o assunto”, diz. “Afinal, é isso que é a Campus”, define ele, mostrando com orgulho alguns dos trabalhos realizados por seus “alunos”, como é o caso de Cássia do Nascimento – que divide a foto com Alexandre. Tudo é feito com material reciclado e todos são incentivados a soltar a imaginação.

« Vacancy » est une table basse chromée en forme d’araignée conçue par l’architecte et designer Celine Stephan Eid pour House of Today (une organisation mettant en avant les travaux de jeunes designers libanais). La table fait aussi office de lampe avec une montre proposant un squelette d’engrenages qui émet un bruit de « tic-tac » permanent.

Youssef Tohme Architects a conçu la villa SC avec une surface de 450 mètres carré, perchée sur les montagnes d’Akoura, au Liban, à 1200 mètres d’altitude. Le client voulait une « rupture avec la ville » ; les architectes ont donc considéré la maison comme un « décrochement », avec une façade donnant sur le vide et une enveloppe arrachée de la montagne, habillée de pierres rocheuses locales avec des parois en béton.
