Jacki Kelley Leaves Interpublic to Join Bloomberg Media
Posted in: UncategorizedJacki Kelley, a veteran of both ad sales and ad buying, is leaving Interpublic Group to become chief operating officer at Bloomberg Media, according to Bloomberg. She will begin her new role on Sept. 1, staying on at Interpublic through the summer to manage the transition of key accounts.
Ms. Kelley had been CEO for North America and president of global clients at IPG Mediabrands, the media agency group at Interpublic, until recently moving into a role helping the parent company bring on the Microsoft business she helped win in a massive cross-agency pitch.
IPG offered Ms. Kelley a newly created post working on cross-agency pitches at IPG, according to people familiar with the matter, but she ultimately chose to return to the media side of the industry instead by taking the post at Bloomberg Media.

Undertone Acquires Upfront Media, Plans To Sell Premium Units Programmatically
Posted in: UncategorizedAd network Undertone has acquired Upfront Media, a programmatic buying technology company, for an undisclosed sum.
Undertone is an ad network known for big, splashy premium ad units. It plans to use technology from Upfront — formerly known as Legolas Media — to offer those units via programmatic transactions, where advertisers use automated technologies to buy audience across devices.
“Our goal is to have the programmatic capability for high impact units this year,” said Undertone co-founder Eric Franchi in an interview with Ad Age.
