"I had no clue about advertising growing up, didn't think about it much … didn't think of it as a profession." That's Frank Cooper, chief marketing officer of PepsiCo, speaking in a new recruitment film designed to address one of the many issues contributing to lack of diversity in the advertising and marketing industries. Dubbed "Pursuit of Passion: Diversity in Advertising," the movie is a joint project put out by the 4A's and VCU Brandcenter and will make its debut during Advertising Week. It will be screened for New York City public high school students during a presentation by VCU Brandcenter's Rick Boyko on Sept. 27.

Eleições 2010: Respeitando a Lei Cidade Limpa na marra
Posted in: UncategorizedMesmo quem não mora em São Paulo, já está bastante familiarizado com a gloriosa Lei Cidade Limpa, certo? Outro dia eu estava passando por alguma via congestionada da cidade, pra variar, e nesse momento de pouca paciência fiquei observando esses cavaletes de propaganda eleitoral nas calçadas.
Além do péssimo gosto visual e slogans políticos cheios de trocadilho, estavam desrespeitando a lei, é claro. Pensei em ter um momento “Um Dia de Fúria”, chutar essas placas, quebrar, pichar, xingar muito no Twitter, etc. Mas aí o semáforo abriu e eu fui embora.
Bem, mas agora eu não preciso me sentir mais culpado por não ter feito nada naquele dia. Alguém, ou melhor, “alguens”, teve a mesma ideia e a realizou de maneiras muito melhores do que eu sequer poderia imaginar.
