Koleston Wella: Id Snapshot Makeover

Problem: Make women look beautiful in ID snapshots. Around the world ID snapshot tend to be ugly. For this reason showing documents and ID photos is always embarrassing. Especially for women, who despite all their vanity must cope with this problem.

Solution: Koleston, a brand of beauty that is concerned about women’s self esteem, did what no other brand has ever done. The action began on Internationall Women’s Week. In front of a central document agency in the city of São Paulo, the Koleston Spot for Beauty was built, a mix of beauty parlor and photographic studio. There, women went through a session of beauty, including hair and makeup and then they were photographed by a professional. Immediately the picture was printed so that they could get a new ID. It was also sent by e-mail for use on Facebook, Orkut, Twitter.

Result: The ID snapshot, which for years was a source of shame, has now become a source of pride. The action had the participation of more than 2000 women and it stimulated the renewal of IDs and drew media attention. It was news on TV stations all over Brazil, in newspapers, the Internet and it spread through social networks leading to a great number of comments in Twitter.

IKEA: Facebook Billygram

IKEA is celebrating 30 years of BILLY. And that’s a hell of a long time for a piece of furniture. The idea: Content changes – BILLY stays the same. Therefore we developed something special: a Facebook App called BILLYGRAM. Users were able to post animated messages written with BILLY storage racks on each other’s walls.

Nintendo DSi: Brain Teaser

“Brain Teasers: anytime, anywhere.”

The challenge: Nintendo asked us to come up with an indoor promotion for Nintendo DSi Brain Teasers. The problem: in shopping malls prior to Christmas. And as we all know, they are a madhouse of noise and confusion at this time. So, how do we get anyone’s attention in there?

The idea: In every shopping mall there is a place where we can have people for our very own. A place that over 40% of shoppers visit at least once during their shop. A place that is just perfect for our promotion: the customer toilet. We transformed this place into one big brain teaser. And turned it into an experience space. Leaflets with a 10% discount offer on all Nintendo Brain Teasers encouraged shoppers to go straight to the retailer in the shopping mall.

Dove Body Milk: Magic Mirror

“After a hot shower your skin will love Dove Body Milk.”

The challenge: Millions of body lotion samples are never opened; they remain glued to ads in magazines, disappear inside handbags, or get thrown in the bin. What could we do to make sure this does not happen to Dove Body Milk?

The idea: Catch the customers when they’re naked: in hotel bathrooms! Therefore we developed a mailing for hotel managers and sent them the „Dove Magic Mirror Marker“: They were to write a magic Dove message for their guests on the bathroom mirror. The marker uses a de-mister fluid that the writing appears when the mirror steams up. A real moment of surprise and exactly the moment to give Dove Body Milk a try.

Perth Zoo: Elephant Art, Van Gogh, Dali, Wharol

“Artwork by elephants.”

The elephants at Perth Zoo are artists. Using paintbrushes, their trunks and even their feet, Tricia and Permai create paintings as part of an enrichment program designed to keep them stimulated, healthy and happy. Funds raised from their artworks go towards Perth Zoo¹s Wildlife Conservation Action to help protect threatened species worldwide. To help raise awareness of their artwork and increase sales, The Brand Agency Perth created this campaign.
