Posted in: UncategorizedGo to “Help Grow Your Soup” and click on the little red barn. When you do, Campbell Soup Company will put a dollar towards an effort to support the future of American agriculture – the nation’s largest employer.
The soup maker is partnering with Future Farmers of America and Grammy-nominee Jewel and will donate $250,000 to champion FFA efforts (whether you click or not), which encourage America’s youth to participate in agriculture education programs.
“Campbell has always been committed to delivering the best, most nourishing foods possible. We cherish the relationships we have with American farming families, many of which have lasted for generations, and we fully recognize that our future success is dependent on the people and the places that help grow the quality ingredients that go into our soups,” said Eric Christianson, business director for Campbell’s condensed soups.
Whenever possible, the company sources ingredients from farmers located within 100 miles of its production facilities, enabling it to use fresh ingredients, reduce the environmental impacts of transportation, and
support the economies of local farming communities.

DETROIT (AdAge.com) — This year's barrage of year-end auto clearance sale ads will be a little kinder and gentler. Automakers generally pony up big bucks to move inventory off their lots and make room for new models in December — last year a collective $904 million in measured media was spent by the industry in that month alone, according to TNS Media Intelligence. It's unclear whether this year will see such lavish spending given the dire situation in Detroit, but one thing is for certain: The messaging will be more restrained.
The 5 Best Places to ‘Get it on’ in the Office
Posted in: UncategorizedAh, office sex. It’s one of the most exciting kinds of fornication, and as advertisers you have more of ‘it’ than just about any other profession (not including porn, modeling and theater actors). We put together a short list of the best places in the office to have sex. So, if you do that, read on (and keep in mind that as spies, we’re masters of stealth).
5. The Boss’s Desk is a good spot, but sorta cliche. Sure it’s exciting, but instead, why not take advantage of his/her huge window overlooking lower Manhattan? We say, press your lover’s cheeks against the glass and have at it. For extra points, try and get sweaty enough to leave perfect ass-prints on the window (thong-mark optional). Good luck getting that off, night cleaning crew!
4. Nothing says, “you’re a great fuck-buddy” like a nice romp in the broom closet. But it’s dusty in there, and Jim the custodian was pretty steamed when you left your intern’s bra dangling like Mistletoe above his cleaning supplies. So, class-it-up a notch by she-bangin’ in the middle of the office (best done when no one is around), on the floor. That way, every time you walk there, you’ll remember the four blissful seconds of hot romance that made September 23rd, 2007 a day to remember.

I, like most people I know, have a love-hate relationship with my iPhone. I miss the efficient wheel, meaty keyboard and down-to-business UI of the Blackberry it replaced. My Blackberry was a very effective communication device. That said, I've just downloaded a couple more apps for my iPhone that knock me out.

Posted in: UncategorizedHow To Get Your Very Own Advertising Book Deal
Posted in: UncategorizedThere are a slew of people in the advertising business who swear they have the next Tipping Point beneath their belt. And, as the market trends down into the dumps, many laid off mad men and women are thinking that now is a good time to pen that book about the business. Have you got the right stuff? Is there even room for yet another advertising and marketing book in the market? What exactly are book agents looking for these days?
We decided to ask one. Jud Laghi is one of the agents at well known agency, LJK Literary Management. He has represented both non-fiction and fiction titles, including the bestsellers Brainiac by Ken Jennings and The Hipster Handbook by Robert Lanham. His clients include journalists from The New York Times, Rolling Stone, This American Life and many more.
There are a million advertising books on the market. Do you think the market can support more?
“Yes-there’s still plenty of room in the market for books that crossover ad and marketing concepts in ways that people outside the industry can relate to. The average person now has the ability to be heard on a scale that was once reserved for established personalities and companies. Writers with a background in advertising and marketing have a unique insight on that model, and how to apply it on various scales.”
Are there any specific types of advertising and marketing books that you are currently looking for?
