Posted in: UncategorizedOne media company is making it easier for small business owners to create and manage ad campaigns online and in their newspapers.
Orange County Register Communications, Inc. announced the launch of a new self-service advertising tool that provides a quick, convenient and cost-effective solution for small business owners to create and schedule their own display advertising campaigns in the Register’s 23 community newspapers.
After creating a login, advertisers first select any of the Register’s 23 community newspapers – or specific ZIP codes – they want to reach. Then they choose from a list of business classifications (Insurance, Dry Cleaners, Restaurants and others) and ad sizes (ranging from 1/32, 1/16, 1/8, 1/4, 1/2 and full pages).
The Register’s new DIY system for local advertisers isn’t going to enhance a brand’s creative, but it does put one more piece of the pie–the media buying piece–in the customer’s hands.

Posted in: UncategorizedI know that you have all been waiting with bated to breath to see who has won our Honeyshed competition. Without further ado, let us know introduce our celebrity judge for this event, Steve Landsberg, ex-Chief Creative Officer of DDB, New York and Ogilvy Toronto, as well as co-founder of new agency Grok. Take it away Steve!
“Here are my thoughts after reviewing the reviews:
Overall, there was an impressive display of knowledge, passion and creative vulgarity. Special mention to a few reviewers first: The Founder, for technical knowledge and a well-meaning sense of outrage. To Beatrice_Hogg and Matty for their thoroughness and thoughtfulness. Time to Show for the sheer display of anger and hostility emboldened by anonymity.
(Boy, I’m gonna hear about this.)And finally, the winner is… eburrante for a review that was clever, thorough, intelligent, well-written and amusing. You had me at “sociopathic sassitude”.
Congratulations.”
There you have it folks. Eburrante? Please email us at agencyspy at gmail dot com to collect your prize. To all the entrants, you fucking rock. Until next time – bon weekend!
