Need Hits? Put ‘Britney Spears’ on Your Web Site
Posted in: UncategorizedThe Guiness Book of World Records (GBoWR) 2009 edition is coming out soon, but we’ll save you the trouble of actually reading it by sharing what we feel are the most pertinent highlights. Turns out, it was a good year for celebrities, who won a bunch of records that are as arbitrary as most baseball stats.
Leading off were Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who are individually awarded with the “Most Powerful Actor/Actress” spots, which were previously held by Tom Cruise, and…Angelina Jolie.
Britney Spears made the cut as well; and no, it wasn’t for “most publicly displayed vagina” or anything like that. However, it was for the “Most Searched Person on the Internet in 2007.” Two things here — isn’t this book for 2009? And, can we take an educated guess that people are searching for pictures…of her vagina? Way to go, Brit Brit.
Check out the other ridiculous awards we’re giving celebs these days, after the jump.

Smith goes bare-bones with ‘Porno’ poster
Posted in: UncategorizedWith his marginal reference to oral sex shot down by the MPAA, Kevin Smith has finally found a movie poster that won’t offend the snowflake-pure audiences innocently heading in to see Death Race or Righteous Kill. This time, Smith’s Zack and Miri Make a Porno gets little more than a napkin sketch under the headline, “Seth Rogan and Elizabeth Banks made a movie so titillating that we can only show you this drawing.” (See the full version of the poster here.) On his blog, Smith says he thinks the poster is “simple and kinda ballsy.” In my opinion, all this fuss over MPAA approvals has overshadowed something much more important: Smith’s new movie features one of the coolest minor-league hockey team names ever.
