Posted in: UncategorizedI’m Gonna Join the DSRL
Posted in: UncategorizedAt this point, it should be no surprise that I’m a big football fan and an even bigger Eli Manning fan. So it should also come as no surprise that I was as giddy as a schoolgirl the first time I saw the new Williams Sisters/Manning Brothers Double Stuff Oreo commercial. The spot is a faux press conference that is set up as a verbal battle between the two sibling teams in a semi-friendly banter. It’s a showdown! And there’s even a double stuff mascot! The spot drives viewers to the DSRL website to join for themselves (and possibly win a trip to the Bahamas, not to shabby). I think it’s awesome. Funny, well down, and come on – who doesn’t love Peyton in a commercial? Check out the spot below, the video even has some “behind-the-scenes” footage for the DSRL enthusiast.

Posted in: UncategorizedWill Tweet for Greenbacks
Posted in: UncategorizedFirst there was a Tweet. And thanks to it, we now have a Cherp, an agency that proposes to manage social media campaigns on Twitter.
Chris Brogan, for one, “is all for nifty social media projects,” but this one has him wondering. The first person to comment on his post also wonders why you’d ever outsource the brand’s social media duties.
Here’s the agency’s pitch:
Anyone can tweet. Our Clients Cherp. There is a difference…
We want to guide you to social network marketing success. That’s our entire focus at Cherp – better strategies, better tools, better outcomes. There is no better time to get started on Twitter. Social media marketing isn’t going away and it’s not easy – it requires knowledge of and experience with the technology, the networks, and the way consumers engage the site.
Anyone can buy ads on Facebook or Myspace. The real success in social media comes from interacting, and Twitter provides one of the best ways to accomplish this. Don’t just tweet…Cherp!
Visit Cherp’s Twitter page for more.

Posted in: UncategorizedYORK, Pa. (AdAge.com) — Microsoft's newest browser is still only in beta, but it already has the advertising world in a tizzy. Its "InPrivate" set of features on Internet Explorer 8 out this week has publishers, marketers and industry advocates worried that it could block their ability to distribute, track and even monetize what the Interactive Advertising Bureau values as a $21.2 billion-plus internet-ad industry.

CHICAGO (AdAge.com) — In a PR masterstroke, Kellogg Co. managed to spoil an every-four-year tradition for General Mills — the unveiling of Olympians to grace the Wheaties box. By the time Big G made its big announcement today, Kellogg had already one-upped the news by revealing that it signed the biggest of them all, Michael Phelps.
