Amarone, a Made in Italy excellence, is produced in Costalunga Estate, in the Classical area of Valpolicella, a land full of tradition and well known for its wine and food culture. Zenato’s Amarone Classico was part of a vertical tasting organized by The Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies, and dedicated to the excellence of Italian produce. Vintages poured at the tasting: 2011, 2009, 2004 and 2006, again selected by Wine Spectator among the 100 best Italian wines. VERTICAL TASTING DEFINITION: In a vertical tasting, different vintages of the same wine type from the same winery are tasted. This emphasizes differences between various vintages.
