X Factor peaks with almost 20 million viewers

LONDON – Last night’s ‘X Factor’ climax is reported to have pulled in nearly 20 million viewers for ITV1 at its peak, with 10 million votes cast, generating an estimated £5m, and Joe McElderry emerging as this year’s winner.
