Skinny is Sensational for Marketing

Observe the ads you see regardless if it is in print or television. You will notice that they are well fit and normally the overweight and the skinny ones will be counted out. Not quite so.

Depending on the product being endorsed, we see a handful of talent that are used in particular commercials. Skinny models for instance are still a much sought after preference, especially if you talk about clothing and health endorsements. While many point to their faces as benchmarks, it is apparent that depending on the projection and how they fit into the product presentation and projection will their real beauty be truly unleashed.

“In essence, women expect to see beautiful women in ads, even if it makes them feel worse about themselves,” says Jeremy Kees, a business professor at Villanova University in Pennsylvania.
