Preparing for Life After ‘Project Runway’


NEW YORK (AdAge.com) — It's hard to imagine Elle magazine without thinking of Bravo's "Project Runway," but when Carol Smith first came to the magazine in 2002 as senior VP-group publishing director, the concept of adding brands to reality TV was still largely foreign. Now, as "Runway" is moving to Lifetime with Marie Claire on board as its new editorial partner, Elle will become the subject of a new reality competition series for the CW, "Stylista." Madison & Vine spoke with Ms. Smith about her accomplishments with "Runway" and her plans for "Stylista."
