People on the Move: DigitasLBi Names Scott Donaton N.A. Chief Content Officer
Posted in: UncategorizedScott Donaton has been appointed to the newly created role of North America chief content officer at DigitasLBi. In this position, he will lead the agency’s content practice. Previously, he was chief content officer at Interpublic Group’s UM and head of UM Studios, where he produced brand stories for clients such as BMW and L’Oreal USA. From 1996 to 2006 he served as editor of Advertising Age before becoming publisher, and from 2007-2009 he was publisher of Entertainment Weekly.
CP+B has promoted Jason De Turris from VP-executive planning director to chief strategy officer. In his new role, Mr. De Turris will relocate to Hong Kong to manage global strategy on the Infiniti account while focusing on opening CP+B’s Hong Kong office and building the CP+B brand throughout Asia. During his time at CP+B, he has worked across brands including Hotels.com and Xbox One. Previously, he held positions at JWT, Deutsch and Ogilvy & Mather.
Mike Tunnicliffe has been named exec VPbusiness development and partnerships, U.S. at Universal Music Group. In this newly created role, he will oversee new business activity for UMG related to brand partnerships, strategic marketing alliances and marketing programs for advertisers. Before joining UMG, Mr. Tunnifcliffe served as global chief growth officer for GroupM, where he helped win clients such as NBC Universal and Nestle USA.
