Obama forcing MLB fans into squeeze play
Posted in: Uncategorized
Because we haven’t heard enough from Barack Obama yet, he might be sacrificing some of the MLB vote by delaying Game 6 of the World Series by 15 minutes (assuming the Series gets that far) to remind Americans how awesome he is. Possibly peeved that his beloved White Sox got bumped by the Rays, Obama is placing a lengthy ad on all four major networks on Oct. 29, the scheduled date for Game 6, in an example of what’s called “roadblock” coverage, which is a delightfully apropos term for something that’s annoying regardless of whether it’s a good idea or not. Plus, McCain’s the one shedding votes, so it really should be him butting into everyone’s fun for his own benefit. If nothing else, unopposed airtime would give McCain a chance to show America more of his goofy old-man faces.
