Obama Camp Drops $2 Million on 30-Minute Prime-Time Slots

WASHINGTON (AdAge.com) — TV-buying executives say Sen. Barack Obama's buy of a half hour of ad time on CBS and NBC will cost the campaign between $2 million and $2.5 million. They report the Obama campaign paid in the range of $1 million per network to buy time for an Oct. 29 program. The campaign has so far declined to discuss the content it will air from 8 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. that night or even say whether the programming will be live.
