Mondelez Promotes Dana Anderson to CMO

Dana Anderson will take over as senior VP and chief marketing officer at Mondelez International, the global snacks and candy giant announced Thursday.

The promotion comes nearly two months after the company said Mary Beth West, VP-chief category and marketing officer, was leaving Mondelez, whose brands include Oreo, Trident and Cadbury. Her departure came as part of a C-suite reorganization that included a promotion of Mark Clouse, former North American president, to a newly created role of chief growth officer. His responsibilities include oversight of corporate strategy, global marketing, sales and research and development, the company said at the time.

Ms. Anderson, 60, formerly the company’s senior-VP marketing strategy and communications, in her new role will “be accountable for the company’s global portfolio of advertising, media and marketing partners and oversee the teams responsible for agency relations, brand equity, brand strategy, marketing capabilities, media and digital,” Mondelez said in a statement.
