Memorial for Stu Samuels, Graphic Designer to the Fortune 500, Next Week

Stuart Samuels, a graphic artist whose career designing packaging and ads for Fortune 500 companies spanned six decades, died at age 82 in Florida on Aug. 14. The cause was cancer. His death was confirmed by his wife of 57 years, the former Ruth Boodman.

A memorial service will for Mr. Samuels will be held Feb. 19, 2015, in Delray Beach, Fla.

Mr. Samuels, who went by Stu, specialized in labels. For many years, he designed products, instructions and advertisements for the Fortune 500 company Avery Dennison, which produces labelling and packaging materials. He also worked with the Fortune 500 company FMC Technologies, which provides equipment and services to the energy sector.
