Energy BBDO Names Mark Taylor New Chief Creative Officer
Posted in: UncategorizedEnergy BBDO has named Mark Taylor chief creative officer, the Chicago-based shop said Tuesday. Mr. Taylor succeeds Dan Fietsam, whose exit the agency announced earlier this month.
“When you look at Mark’s work, you see innovation in marketing,” said Tonise Paul, president-CEO of the Omnicom shop. “When you saw his work, it was the first time you’d seen anything like it. And when I look at his work, I see work that breaks category convention and helps brands stand out and be distinctive.”
Mr. Taylor is perhaps best known for his work at MDC’s CP&B, where he worked from 2001 through 2005 and contributed to projects like Burger King’s well-known Subservient Chicken campaign and the revival of the chain’s King mascot. After CP&B he went to Fallon in Minneapolis for a year, had another stint at CP&B and moved in 2008 to Omnicom’s GSD&M, where he lead creative on accounts such as BMW and Southwest Airlines. In 2009 he went back to CP&B, staying this time until last August. Most recently, he was freelancing.
