We thought professional rock climbers were obscure, but they’re household names compared with fishing “legends” Gary Hain, Chuck Devereaux and Aaron McAlexander, the stars of Cole + McVoy’s “Master Casters” video series for the Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation. The videos show the trio performing various casting-related tricks. Gary’s pretty goofy, and Chuck seems like a scary right-wing survivalist type. In other words, typical outdoorsmen. The breakout star is Axl Rose look-alike Aaron, whose patented casting technique (“The Shooter”) is handy for knocking out lightbulbs. The heavy guitar on the soundtrack probably scared away all the fish.
