Best Buy Offers Fresh Take on the College Experience

Though the company reported favorable first-quarter earnings, with a 1.3% rise in revenue to $8.4 billion and a 77% jump in profit to $229 million, Best Buy has been plagued by competition from Amazon. Earlier this year, the company warned of a coming drop in second-quarter earnings because of product availability overseas.
The first spots will debut digitally on Sunday; one spot will begin airing on TV in August. The campaign also includes a social media component with hashtag #howtocollege and an “Adamojis” app that shoppers can download.
