Amazon really, really sorry about irony-riddled 1984 flap

LONDON – Kindle users who had their copies of Nineteen Eighty Four scrupulously swiped from their e-readers were on the receiving end of a flowery apology from Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos today, with added bonus of some cold hard cash.
