Are You Ready for Some Lack of Football?


As a sports lawyer and professor, I've spent the last two years looking at the possibility, legality and economics of an NFL work stoppage, most likely a management lockout of players after this season, which kicked off last weekend to record ratings and much fanfare. In focusing on the minutia of labor-battle tactics, it is easy to miss the biggest consequences of what the fall of 2011 would look like without the NFL and who the biggest losers would be.
