MINNEAPOLIS (AdAge.com) — So it turns out parts of the Beijing Olympic Opening Ceremony were fake. No worries, because the compelling competition is real — providing all the drama, reality and, yes, even comedy that have been missing in network TV's lost season of 2007/08. Viewers have responded resoundingly, giving NBC, network TV and the Olympic movement itself media momentum so badly needed for all three entities.
